Colourful Flowers

Hello crafters! Welcome to day 30 of the Random Act of Cardness events. Today the prompt word is “Colour”. You have probably noticed that I love colour, the brighter the better.

For my card today I have stencilled the base of the card using a Heffy Doodle stencil along with Squeezed Lemonade and Salvaged Patina.

In my mini Misti I then stamped the corner flowers from the Honey Bee stamp set Floral Vase, along with one of the dragonflies from the Honey Bee Dragonfly set using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.

To colour I used Copic markers in the following colours, working from the top down:

Flowers: RV25, RV04, RV02; Y18, Y19, Y35 and the leaves G05, G09, G17; Middle Flowers: B0000; BG53; BG45, BG57; R27, R17, R24; Leaves YG21; YG03; YG23; Bottom Flowers: YR01, YR02, YR65; R05, Y35, Y15; Leaves G05, G09, G17; and the Dragonfly is BG10, C3 and 100.

When all the pieces were coloured I die cut the pieces using the coordinating dies. I then styled the flowers and dragonfly, and attached them to the card front using foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Warm Breeze and die cut with the coordinating die affixing the sentiment to the card front using foam strips.

To finish up I applied Nuvo Shimmer pen to the dragonfly along with crystals from Studio Katia for some sparkle.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s card of Colours! Thank you for joining us.
