Combining Old & New Stamps and Dies

Hello and happy Saturday! Laurie with you today to share a card that combines some older and new products from MFT!  It combines both stamping and die cutting. Let’s have a look!

I used the bee, the clouds and the sentiment from the older Love Bugs Stamp set and co-ordinating dies. This is an adorable set and I thought it paired perfectly with the Freshly Picked Die Set which was released last month!

Everything was coloured using Copic Markers except the watering can. I used Slate Ink from the 2018 Assortment Ink Cubes from Gina K Designs. I blended the ink using a sponge dauber and then a blending brush.

I used the Grassy Hillside Borders Die from Lawn Fawn to create the grassy hill and used Jellybean Ink to add the colour. I cut down the panel using a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die (older MFT). I added all the images onto the panel using a bit of liquid glue and foam adhesive. I used a “bead board” embossing folder on the cardbase. The focal panel was lost on the white base so I decided to mat it with a grey piece of cardstock. I also heat embossed the sentiment on the same cardstock.

I used foam adhesive to adhere the panel to the cardbase. I did add a few white gel pen details and some shimmer to the bees wings. The most time consuming part of this card was colouring and adhering all those die cuts but time well spent!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!

Laurie
