Who doesn’t love a hug?
Hi Friends! It’s Susan here with you today and I’m sharing a card with a cute image of birds hugging. I chose to do animals as the challenge word today and what’s cuter than animals cuddling together. I used the Happy Hugs stamp set from Penny Black for this card along with the Square Peek-a-boo Window die from MFT.
I tend to lean more to clean and simple cards so that’s what I ended up making. I had something else in mind when I started out but as often happens things change.
I started with die cutting the peek-a-boo window in the lower portion of a 4 x 5 1/4″ piece of white card stock. Next I used a stitched rectangle die from Lawn Fawn and ran that same panel through my die cutting machine again. I stamped the sentiment and then added an acetate sheet to the back.
I stamped the image onto another piece of white card stock and colored it in with some copic markers. Because the image is so small the coloring was really quite easy. Next I added some foam adhesive strips to the back of the window panel and then added the colored image to the back of the window panel.
I adhered it to a white card base and debated about adding sequins or some heart shape balloons but as you can see I opted not to and kept it really simple.
