Good morning and happy weekend!! Laurie here to share a sweet, love themed kitty card. I’m pretty much done making Christmas themed projects and ready for the next season!!
I received some happy mail from the SNS Online Store and couldn’t wait to have a play with some of the new goodies. For this card, I combined companies, which I love to do.
I order the Love You Furever Stamp Set and its co-ordinating dies. This set is a must have for cat lovers. The images are SO adorable as well as fun and easy to colour! After colouring and die cutting, it was time to create a scene. I was going to make your standard card panel with some ink blending and such but decided to mix things up a bit and used the Outside In Stitched Flower Die from Lawn Fawn.
It certainly isn’t a traditional way of creating or housing a scene but the small images in the Love You Furever set are so cute and fit perfectly in that flower. I had some left over ink on my sponge daubers and used that to add some colour to the leaves and flower. I inked some “grass” and “sky” to the small centre circle and foam mounted that sweet kitty.
Before foam mounting my focal panel/scene, I decided to jazz up the front of the ivory card base a bit. I used the Just Stitching Double Rectangles from Lawn Fawn. I have the second and third largest die still connected so I ran them through my die cutting machine together.
The sentiment comes from the Love You Furever stamp set and I stamped it onto a strip of ivory cardstock. I popped the flower onto the card base, added a bit of Nuvo Glitter Gloss and Crystal Glaze to the hearts.
