Hello Everyone! It’s Susan and I’m back with another card for the Random Acts of Cardness Challenge. This time I chose to use WINE as the prompt knowing I had this fun stamp set in my stash from Art Impressions. It’s called Aged to Perfection and it’s one of my favorite sets.
I decided to try paper piecing with this image and I love how it turned out. I used a fun paper pack from Catherine Pooler Designs. If you struggle putting different patterns together I highly recommend using a paper pack as the colors and patterns all coordinate so you know they’ll work together. Easy Peasy! I stamped the image on two different patterns of paper and also on some Canson Mixed Media Paper. I colored the parts of the image that wouldn’t have patterned paper on it using my Tombow Dual Brush Pens then set about fussy cutting all the pieces. I also stamped the image on some thin plain white card stock then glued the cut pieces in their place on the card stock.
I used a slimline die from Catherine Pooler Designs to cover the back – I wanted it to look like white textured wallpaper then added a strip of grey patterned paper from the same pack as the chair. I adhered everything to the card base then stamped the sentiment.
Thanks so much for spending a part of your day with me.
