Today I’m sharing a throwback card for our Challenge word of the day, FIESTA! I’m a big fan of Mexican food, and back when I lived in B.C. we used to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day weekend each year with a FIESTA themed crop. I have such great memories of those weekends and the amazing ladies we used to spend them with, getting creative and eating tacos 🙂
So, in honor of those ladies I miss so much, here’s my take on the theme:

Happy Tuesday ! Since I had such fun with this stencil on my card for the blog hop, I decided to play it up with a Mexican twist for today’s theme: FOOD. I’ve paired it with the cutest mini TACO stamp set (year nine) by Lawn Fawn.
I let the colors and design stand out by mounting it white on white, using a stitched rectangle die for a bit of subtle details. I’ve blended Distress Oxide Inks in Ripe Persimmon & a bit of yellow (I’m not sure which one!) and colored my image with some Distress Markers.
Along with the stenciled design, a few sequins and a rainbow party hat add to this little fiesta on a card! I hope it makes you smile!
inky hugs,
Tara
What a fun card! Happy Cinco de Mayo!
