Tuesday with Tara {take 33}

Happy Tuesday!  Today I have TWO cards to share with you that feature the same stamps & basic elements, done in two ways to give a masculine and feminine feel, ready to contribute the the card stash for when you need them!  First there’s some business to attend to… I need to thank everyone who commented on last week’s blog post and announce the winner of the Dylusions Stencil 🙂

The winner is…

Jocelyn Sun

Congrats, Jocelyn!  Thanks for your comment 🙂  Please contact us and let us know where we can send your stencil 🙂

The stamp set I’ve used is an older fave of mine called Get Well Soon by Lawn Fawn.  I stamped the turtle (my fave image in the set!) a couple times and colored it up quickly with Distress Markers.  Once my image was dry, I added Ranger’s Crackle Accents to his shell and set them aside to dry.  Love the simple details this adds!

The background of my cards is a fun one by Hero Arts, stamped simply with Distress Ink to match the patterned papers I was using (the ones on this first card are by Basic Grey.  I added simple details like a border punch and washi tape.  The sentiment is stamped on a small manila tag that had been printed on with an inky stencil and water.  Note the top of the tag was cut off on this card and used as a tab on the left side of the card 🙂

My second card is very similar, but simpler than the first card to give a more masculine feel.  I left the tag whole and mounted it simply on a black cardstock panel.

You can see the Crackle Accents details better in this final photo!

Hope you like my cards and that the winter weather doesn’t have you feeling like you need someone to send you a get well cards!  Have a creative week!

Inky hugs,

Tara
