Happy Tuesday! I’ve got a simple card to share with you today! I recently colored up a few Crazy Birds images and saved them for some quick cards, like this one. I noticed that Color Burst has arrived in the shop (yay!) so thought I’d use them on today’s card!
For the card background, I cut a piece of watercolor paper to size and spritzed it with water, then sprinkled a few bits of Color Burst in yellows and orange into the puddles. I mixed them a bit with a wet paintbrush, then dried it all with a heat tool. I can’t tell you enough how much I love the way the colors blend together… so fun to play with! Since I’d already colored up my main image, I just selected a sentiment (and oldie from my stash, by the artist that made this great set!) and arranged the pieces on my background. A bit of bling finished it all off after I attached it to a black card base.
Here’s a few more shots- I love that it’s spring and I can take photos in the yard 🙂
Materials used:
Watercolor Cardstock
Color Burst in shades of yellow & orange from Brights and Earth Tones sets
Memory Box Virtuoso Music Die
Bird Crazy stamps by Tim Holtz
Black Cardstock
Bling
Glossy Accents
Wink of Stella glitter pen
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a creative day!
Inky hugs,
Tara
p.s. leave a comment and you could win a surprise from the shop… how about a roll of Be Creative Tape? Because maybe you have a pet like mine who likes to destroy your essential supplies 😉
Awesome card, Tara! I just love how you used Color Burst and the watercoloring on this one. FABULOUS!!! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

The yellows are so springy!
Just a suggestion – I went and watched a Color Burst video – maybe a demo video on your blog or facebook would be helpful for those like me who have no idea how the Color Burst work (incidentally, they look very interesting and would make a great class)
Love the Colorbursts! My fingers may never be clean again!
Thanks for the suggestion Heather! I don’t currently have the equipment for doing videos, but I hope to get there sometime in the future 🙂
