Watercoloring Fun with Amy

Good morning, Amy here with a fun little make using Concord & 9th’s Painted Rose.

How gorgeous is this Painted Rose from Concord & 9th? It’s so versatile and there are so many ways you can use this set- Plus it comes with coordinating dies! I chose just to use the line stamp today and stamped it onto Canson Watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I heat set it with my Heat It Tool and then used Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks to watercolor the rose. I just made sure to dry in between my layers to get the depth of colors on the petals. ;o)

I  then fussy cut it out and set it aside to work on my cardfront. I started by embossing white cardstock with We R Memory Keeper Geometric Embossing Folder. I then added some black paint splatters and Washi Tape. I  then stamped the “THANKS” sentiment from the Painted Rose set with Black Onyx Versafine Ink.

I adhered my panel to my black cardbase and then adhered the Rose with 3m Foam Tape.  A Black button and Twine finished off the front of my card.

Here’s the inside of my card using the layered and splatter Stamps with the same Distress and Black Onyx Inks.

I sure hope you’ve enjoyed this fun little card today and give it a try. Be sure to join us Saturday August 25th,  for our August Blog Hop- it’s sure to SHAKE things up! ;o)

~Happy Craftin’!~
