WHAT SMELLS SO GOOD?

Hi Everyone!

It’s Susan with a smelly card for you today. Yup I said smelly. I think it’s smelly but my husband thinks it smells really good.  It smells like coffee. When my hubby and I were having our coffee and tea (yes I’m a tea drinker) I got what I think was a brilliant idea to use coffee to ‘ink’ up the background panel.

I used some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper, put some coffee onto a plate and dipped the paper into it. I heat set it with my heat gun and then continued this process until I was happy with how the paper was stained. I cut a rectangle piece using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Die and sponged some Lawn Fawn Doe Ink around the edges to finish it off.  I showed the panel to my husband and he gave me a look that said ‘why are you showing me this?’ I told him to smell it and then he was impressed.  I would have used chai since that’s what I drink but I only made a cup and my hubby made a whole pot of coffee so he had some to spare.

I used the Coffee Understands Stamp Set from Picket Fence for the rest of the card. I stamped the sentiment and the mugs using Versafine Nocturne ink and cut the mugs out with the coordinating dies.  I colored the mugs in using Prismacolor pencil crayons and adhered them directly to the panel then added the panel to the card base with craft foam.

Happy Stampin’
and thanks so much for visiting!
Stay safe everyone!!
