Hi Everyone. It’s Susan here to share a card that features one of the birds from the Happy Hugs stamp set from Penny Black. The stamp comes with one balloon but I stamped it two more times to make a bouquet of balloons. Is three considered a bouquet?
I started with the sky. I used the Cloud Stencil from My Favorite Things, some Broken China Distress Oxide ink and a blending tool. The Cloud Stencil has 4 different edges so I just kept rotating the stencil and blending on some ink until the panel was covered. I die cut it twice using one die from the Large Stitched Rectangles and one next in size from the Small Stitched Rectangles both from Lawn Fawn creating an outer frame that I adhered directly to the card base. I stamped the bird using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto the clouds and again onto some scrap card stock. I colored in the balloons and the bird using Prismacolor pencils, fussy cut each one out and adhered them to the panel covering the original stamping. I used a fine tip black marker to add two more balloon strings.
The sentiment is stamped directly onto the panel and the whole panel was added to the card base with craft foam.
This card puts a smile on my face. I hope it puts a smile onto the face of the person I send it to.
