Foil and Flowers

Kia back with you today to share this birthday card I did yesterday.

I received a Gemini Foil Press for my birthday, and this is the first card I have made using a couple of the dies that were included with the machine. Once I figured out how to turn it on, things went easier from there!

First up was the foil pressing, using Turquoise foil for the die frame and birthday greeting. The frame and sentiment turned out perfectly, so I attached the frame to my card base on an angle using foam squares.

I knew I wanted a stem flower, and I wanted it to be longer than my frame, so I reached for my Tim Holtz Wildflowers. In my Gemini Jr. I die cut one using vellum and the other using card stock. I coloured the card stock die cut using my Copics. I then glued the flowers to the frame using Nuvo glue, then attached the birthday sentiment, also with foam squares.

I just ordered this bird stamp set and dies from Raya, and knew exactly where I would perch this little one that I coloured using the same Copic colours. She is sitting on a foam square to keep her in place.

To finish my card I added a few crystals and a confetti sequin. I love how this turned out and I hope you enjoy it as well. Thank you for joining me today.
