Happy Tuesday! Today’s card is inspired by the puppy love blog hop we have going on right now (if you haven’t already, check it out!)… but I wanted to feature a snarky cat stamp for this one! I kept things simple using some leftover hexagon cuts and keeping my stamped image simple in black & white.
I chose this image because of the way his arms are, ready to hold a tall die cut flower from Tim’s Wildflower Stems #1. I like how the flower fills the height of the card! I inked it up using the same colors I had used on the background I cut the hexagons from- it’s a lighter tone because I simply used the ink left on my ink blending tool!
I stamped the cat’s arms twice and cut them out, adding a bit of foam tape for dimension near the paws. It’s a little detail that adds a lot of fun!
I’ve kept this little valentine quite simple… and even left off the ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ in so it can be used for just a little love note anytime. It’s fun to make cards with the leftover bits from other projects! I keep a small box on my desk for cut outs like these to grab for quick-ish cards like this one :). Hope you like it!
Inky hugs,
Tara
