Tuesday with Tara {take 255} Bee Happy Birthday

Tuesday, July 7th, 2020

Happy Tuesday!  We’ve got another list of 31 words for our ‘Random Acts of CARDNESS’ Challenge over on our facebook group, and today’s is SCRIPT.  I’m sharing a simple card to add to my stash, which is lacking birthday cards right now!

For the ‘script’ part of my card, I’ve used the stamps from the Ranger Letter It Embossing Technique Kit.  I paired it with ‘Bee Kind’ stamps by Flora and Fauna & stacked tiles hexagon dies by Tim Holtz.  This card came together quick and easy because I used a tag I had inked up with Distress Ink and ready to go!  I love having a collection of backgrounds and tags to pull from when I need a card and the shades of yellow here (I’m guessing there’s a mix of Fossilized Amber, Mustard Seed & Squeezed Lemonade Distress on this one) had me digging through my stamps for this fun set with flowers, bees & honeycomb in it!  I kept things really simple by doing all of my stamping a bold black ink, Versafine Clair Nocturne, on a kraft card.

The simple script sentiments in the letter it line are perfect for projects like this and they look beautiful heat embossed or simply stamped in black like I’ve done here.  I hope my card today brings a little happy to your day 🙂

Inky hugs,

Tara
