Hello all, Kia back with you for Day 28 of our Random Act of Cardness event with prompt word Brayer.

Recently while looking through videos I came across a video by Understandblue where in the first part of the video she shows a background technique using a brayer.  I loved the technique and decided I would do it for my card today.

In the video the technique starts at the beginning and runs to marker 3:03/15:27.

For my card I used Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron and Tumbled Glass, and I love the look. When I was finished doing the background I trimmed the piece and affixed it to my mini Slimline card.

On Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper using my mini Misti, I stamped the image with VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne and proceeded to watercolour using Daniel Smith watercolours. Once I finished painting I fussy cut the piece out.

Using foam strips I attached the image to my card, which shows in the picture above. I also did a piece for the inside of my card, and when I know where the card is going I will stamp inside.

In finishing I stamped the sentiment using distress ink in Rustic Wilderness, a beautiful colour and one of my new faves.

I hope you have enjoyed this technique and that you will give it a go. Following are Affiliate links to the store for the products I have used for this card. I have further details on my blog if you wish to visit.
