Quick and Easy Christmas Cards Using Cuttlebug Embossing Folders

Nothing says “Happy Holidays” like a handmade card or gift but sometimes it’s hard to find time to get them all made. So we thought we’d give you a little help with some quick and easy ideas for cards that are all made with Cuttlebug embossing folders and some basic supplies. None of these cards take more than 15 minutes to make and we’ve included a supply list and basic instructions for each one.

We hope they inspire you and make your life a little easier this holiday season.

PS You will find that we use 3D foam squares quite a bit on these cards and although you can do them without you will find that it adds a lot dimension and makes your cards have that extra “WOW” factor.

Supplies :

Cuttlebug A2 Embossing Folder – Snowflakes, Cuttlebug 3×3 Cut & Emboss Combo – Ice Crystal, Bazzill Sea Breeze cardstock, Ice Gold Shimmer Cardstock, Clear Rhinestones, 3D Foam Squares, Nestabilities Classic Squares – Large

Instructions :

Cut 4 1/2″ x 9″ piece of blue cardstock. Score and fold to make a 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ square card. Cut a piece of Ice Gold Shimmer cardstock 4″ x 4″ and use the 2 1/16″ square Nestabilities die to cut an opening in the center. TIP – I measured and positioned the Nestability on the back of the cardstock and held it in place with Scotch removable tape so that it wouldn’t move when I ran it through my Big Shot. Now emboss the same piece with the Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder. Attach to the card front with 3D foam squares. Cut a snowflake from the Ice Gold Shimmer cardstock using the Ice Crystal die. Cut 3D foam squares into small piece and attach to back and then center and mount on the card front. Adhere rhinestone.
