Sunburst Hello

Kia back with you today with this bright and happy card. We had more snow yesterday and today in my neck of the woods, so I was determined to make a bright card, and using Color Burst is one of the best ways I know to get bright saturated colours.

I started with some Fabriano Hot Press 140lb water colour paper for this, stamping first with Penny Black’s Sunbursts stamp and heat embossing with white embossing powder.

Then the fun began. I first spritzed my piece lightly just to dampen, then added the colours, spritzing gently after each addition, until the background looked the way I liked. I dried with my heat gun and die cut the panel using my Wonky Rectangle die. I wanted to use the yellow card base, and did not want black around the whole panel, so I die cut a piece of the black card stock and attached on an angle, then attached my panel opposite. I stamped the sentiment heat embossing with the white powder, and attached to the card using foam squares.

Following is my video on this card, along with the Affiliate links for the products used.
