All Good Things

Hello again Everyone! It’s Susan and I had a blast playing with a couple of the WOW Embossing Powders. I love that these are both a mixture of color in each container and blues and greens are my favorite colors so these two were a must have for me.

I started with a stencil – any stencil will work – I used a checkerboard one and taped it to a piece of card stock that I die cut with a stitched rectangle die and then pressed my Versamark ink pad all over the top pressing harder to one side than the other because I wanted a little variation in the size of the squares. Next I sprinkled on some Vintage Peacock EP and Verdigris EP from WOW randomly over top. When it was all covered I heat set it with my heat gun.

I love how this looks and the possibilities are limitless. When I think of my pile of stencils and all those containers of embossing powders that are just sitting in a drawer screaming out to be used my head fills with ideas! And look at the sparkle in these two powders – there’s some shiny pieces in the powders that I used and the sparkle is so pretty in person.

To finish the card I kept it pretty simple as I wanted the background to stand out. I stamped the Lily from Concord & 9th using one of my favorite black inks – the Versafine Clair Nocturne ink pad – then stamped the center with Lawn Fawn’s Hippo ink and then cut it out. I cut the stem away from the flower, adhered it directly to the embossed panel and then added the flower with some craft foam. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Beautiful Blessings 2 Stamp Set and stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto some gray card stock – I LOVE the fonts on this set. I layered the embossed panel onto the same gray card stock and added it to a white card base with some craft foam.

Now it’s your turn. Go grab your stencils and all your embossing powders and have some fun! Try mixing powders together to create your own unique colors – I’m going to be trying that after work today.

Happy Stampin

and thanks SO MUCH for visiting!!
