CAS Sympathy Card

Hi Friends!  Chala here for today’s prompt word “Sympathy”.  This subject is never an easy one!  I find it so important to always have few of these types of cards in my stash, “just in case”.

My typical “go to” style for these types of cards is clean and simple.  That is exactly what today’s card is.

I stuck with a colour pallet of just black and white for my card.  However, you can add colour where you see fit.

I started off with a top folding white card base out of 120lb cardstock.  I then used the MFT A2 Rectangle Stax to die cut a piece of black cardstock and also a smaller die to cut a piece of white cardstock

I adhered the black cardstock piece in the centre of the card base with some Art Glitter Glue.  I then embossed the white cardstock piece with a simple polka dot embossing folder by Circuit.

Next I adhered that down into the centre of the black cardstock rectangle.

For my focal point I am using the Floral Circles by Pink Fresh Studios.  I love these simple and dainty dies for these types of cards and there are six different styles you can choose from or you can make six different cards for your stash.

For the sentiment on the front I used the Taylored Expressions Simple Sentiments Background and the coordinating dies.  I had placed an order for the MFT Deepest Sympathy stamp set  to use for the inside sentiment….unfortunately, it did not arrive in time for this post.  I will however be adding them to the inside of the card once it does arrive.  The sentiment in the stamp set are absolutely perfect for when you don’t know what to say!

Here is the final look at today’s clean and simple sympathy card.

Thanks for joining me for today’s quick, clean and simple sympathy card.
