Happy Wednesday and welcome back!! Laurie here to share a bright, flowery card that’s the perfect way to say hello! But first I get to announce the winner of the $50 gift certificate for our Flower Frenzy Blog Hop. Drum roll please… Jeanne Beam. Please click here to claim your prize by May 30, 2019. Now back to the card
I started by die cutting the entire set of the Spring Floral Cluster Dies from Flora & Fauna. This is a sweet and simple set of dies which I love. I used the following Distress Oxide Inks for some simple watercolour: Picked Raspberry, Evergreen Bough, Crushed Olive, Fossilized Amber and Faded Jeans (the purple berries was a mixture of Picked Raspberry and Faded Jeans).
I had a bit of Picked Raspberry and Faded Jeans inks on my palette so I added some water, mixed the two together and added some splatters onto a white panel. The “hey there” sentiment comes from the Fabulous Phrases Die Set from Concord & 9th. If you’re looking for a great set of sentiment dies, you should take a look at this one! I chose to use bold, black cardstock.
I added a tiny strip of black and white striped paper on the side of the splattered panel and added it to a white A2 card base. I used foam adhesive to adhere the floral cluster and liquid glue to add the sentiment die cut.
I used the little heart die from the Fabulous Phrases die set and added 3 tiny hearts. It’s a subtle addition but cute none the less!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!!
Laurie
