My project will be featured over on Instagram (with more details on my personal blog) but here’s a little peek…
… and a bit of a story! The theme this month is a fond one for me, as it takes me back to my roots and the VERY first projects that got me interested in rubber stamps- and that was making my own Christmas wrapping paper! It was back in the early 90’s and my grandparents gave me a rubber stamp of a cow with heart shaped spots on it. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but I collected cows so I thought it was kinda cool. Shortly after that, my aunt showed me a catalog for a company called PSX (show of hands if you remember them!) and I found a little holly stamp with heart shaped berries. These two stamps, together with a green ink pad and a roll of kraft paper from the post office became my Christmas wrapping paper! After that, I learned about gold embossing and started getting more stamps & more inks… and the rest is history.
I made my own wrapping paper on Kraft paper for many years and that’s probably why I still love it so much as a card base so often even today! You’ll see that I’m sharing more love for the Sketch Greenery stamps & I’ve paired it with some greenery & berries from the Festive Bouquet die set along with a sweet sentiment by Anita Jeram.
The first stop on the hop will be Kia– and if you get lost along the way, you can check back here to find a full list of everyone in the hop! Have fun, I’ll see you soon when you get to the Instagram portion of the hop 🙂

This is going to be fun. I have decorated wrapping paper and tissue paper several times, and it was really cute. Can’t wait.
This hop sounds like so much fun. Love wrapping presents.
Looking forward to some holiday wrapping ideas! I’ve stamped gift wrap and gift bags before, and some small boxes. Fun projects!
(I still have my PSX stamps!).
What a GREAT idea and WONDERFUL HOP!!!!!!
Love this, my current idea is to use up all the wrapping paper I have and buy a roll of Kraft paper. You have just confirmed that it will be awesome.
Your wrapping paper with the snowman was so adorable. If I had that stamp I’d make paper too! Also a past time of mine when I started crafting.
I just found a rolling stamp instrument that would be great for making wrapping paper. I’m very intrigued about your project.
I love hopping about!
Yaaaaaas! I scored a large roll of Kraft paper at a thrift store about 2 years ago and also started to make my own wrapping paper and fell in love! I love Kraft cards too and never put the 2 together, genius, by George that must be it. Tee hee. I dont do instant grams, but the no peeking peek is pretty sweet.
What a great hop! I loved all the ideas & inspiration found there! Great tips too! Thank you!
I love blog hops! Great way to find inspiration.
