Tuesday with Tara {take 349} Hello There!

Happy Tuesday & Hello There, Sweet Friends!

Today’s card uses a fun combo of products to make a sweet and simple card… florals by Hampton Art Stamps (Hello Beautiful set), Hello There from Bold Text #1 dies by Tim Holtz and the little sweet friend is from Honey Bee Stamps Bitty Buzzwords.  Of course, I’m still playing around with my new Distress color, so today you see a simple color combo of Distress Oxide Inks- Saltwater Taffy and Twisted Citron.

Of course, there’s more fun details like the stitched border from MFT, 3D foam squares and some lime sequins by Studio Katia!  I wish I could tell you where the pink card base came from, but I’m pretty impressed how well it matched the Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink!

I’m pretty pleased with this card… really want to play around with other sentiments from the die set in combo with stamped greetings!  Hope you like it too 🙂

Inky hugs,

Tara

Tuesday with Tara {take 339} Happily Ever After

Happy Tuesday!  Today’s card was created to celebrate some dear friends who recently got engaged.  I took inspiration from today’s challenge theme, which is “tag” but I decided to group 3 small tags (coming soon from Hampton Art) together for my design.

This card went together pretty quickly, with the help of Distress Spray Stain to quickly cover the tags.  I taped them together with washi tape before spraying with shades of blue: salvaged patina, speckled egg & peacock feathers.  I wanted a variety of blues for my card to give a bold base for the glittery wildflower I die cut.

This lovely sentiment (coming soon to the store from Hampton Art) seemed perfect for the occasion, stamped simply in black on the lower two tags.  I added some black bling to the flower to tie it together, then finished with some teardrop shaped bling to mimic the flower petals.

I was pretty pleased with how it came together for a quick card, and more importantly my friend was delighted to receive it 🙂

Inky hugs,

Tara

No Wish is Too Small

Hi Everyone! It’s Susan and I’m here with a card for Random Acts of Cardness. Today’s prompt is WISH. I chose to use the Make a Wish Mini stamp set from Colorado Craft Company. It’s such a cute little stamp set.

I started with a panel of white card stock that I cut with the second largest die from the Lawn Fawn Stitched 4 Bar Rectangle Die set. I placed it in my MISTI and stamped the mouse using Midnight ink.

I placed the tag (coming soon to the SNS shop) from Hampton Art over top of the mouse I just stamped using a little adhesive to hold it in place. I stamped the mouse again onto the tag. Doing it this way ensures that the image on the tag and on the white panel will line up perfectly.

I colored the image in using my Prismacolor pencils then added the tag to the panel using craft foam for dimension. I added some bakers twine to the tag and added the panel directly to the card base.

The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder onto some black card stock then cut with one of the dies from Poppystamps Word Balloons Die set. I adhered that directly to the tag and this card is done!

Happy Stampin’
and thanks so much for visiting!
Stay safe everyone!!
Susan
