Time to start! These birds are so cute and I was completely inspired! I created so many variations and here are the two I am sharing with you today.
The cards I made feature these adorable birds from Photoplay set called Love Letters.
It is time to stencil. I used with the Photoplay Hearts Stencil on a pink mat using Catherine Pooler’s Cotton Candy ink. This is my go to heart stencil because the soft heart shape and the fact the hearts are all a little askew so I never have to worry about lining it up straight. After that’s complete, cut a square window out of the top half the pink mat.
Then stamp the two birds with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured them with Triblends in some white card stock. Moving along, I used an craft knife on tails and the feet so sit on the edge of the frame. Assemble this all on a kraft coloured card base. Next step was to stamp the “sending you love” with Catherine Pooler’s Macchiato ink on kraft card stock and used my Washi Chomper to finesse the edge the ends.
The variation on this card. Once again stamp out the birds out on white card. Then mask them and stencil the hearts on the white back ground before mounting it in behind a plain pink panel. This picture details the cutting of the tail and feet with the craft knife so they can sit over the pink mat.
