Tuesday Tutorial – Pop Out Poinsettia Card by Mary-Ann

Materials you will need:

– 8.5″ x 5.5″ piece of cream cardstock

– 5.25″ x 8.25″ red cardstock

-Die Cut Poinsettias

– Dazzles Gold Stickers

1. Score your red cardstock in half and then score each side in half again.  This will give you four equal sections.

2. Measture and mark 3/8″ down from the top and up from the bottom edges of the red cardstock on the two center sections only.  Using a craft knife cut along this line from the left hand fold to the right hand fold.

3. On the red cardstock again, far left panel, draw a line 3/4″ down fro the top, up from the bottom and in from the left.  With a craft knife cut these lines and along the fold as well to remove the rectangle from the front window.

4. Fold the cream cardstock in half and then lay open flat.   Apply glue along all the top and bottom 3/8″ strips (on the middle 2 sections) and along all 4 sides of the far right vertical section of the red cardstock.  Line up the center folds of the two pieces and press your red cardstock  into place.

5. Lay the card out flat again and trace the rectangular hole onto the back of the cream cardstock.

6. Flip back the red cardstock (you did not put any glue on the far left piece yet) and using a craft knife cut out the rectangle you have just traced.

7. Apply glue to the back of the red cardstock(on the three sides of the rectangle) and press into place being careful to make sure you line up the openings.

8. Using Gold Dazzles Stickers decorate the card front as desired, and glue down your poinsettia making sure you only glue them to the cream cardstock (if you dont the card will not open right)
