Happy Tuesday! It`s a `blue Christmas` kinda day, and I`ve got two cards to share!
First up is a card that shows off a beautiful vintage image by Stampendous, I simply stamped in black Archival ink on watercolor paper. Once dry, I used a wet paintbrush to pick up some Color Burst pigment and added color to the outside of the focal point of my image. I wanted to add color but keep my card monochromatic, so this was a fun way to do that. I continued adding color and water and blending it out, careful to keep the outer edges perfectly random looking 😉I added a touch of color to a few areas on the focal point so it wasn`t such a stark contrast. I also added a touch of glitter with a glitter marker. After tearing the right edge, I cut a couple slits on the left edge and threaded a silk ribbon through it to add a soft bow.
Here`s my second blue card- this one is simply snowy, with another Color Burst background. I went for a spot detail with some stamped snowflakes around it, then embossed a large white snowflake and layered a die cut snowflake over it. Underneath my snowflake image I added some die cut letters to spell JOY. These were painted white and glittered up.
Here`s another look at the snowflake image:
And here`s a closer look at the letters on the card:
Here`s hoping your Christmas is anything but blue… unless it`s covered in paint, ink & glitter 🙂
Inky hugs,
Tara
They look great!
lovely cards Tara!
