Mini Misti

Thanking you

I am back with you today to share this thank you card I made using Honey Bee Stamps and dies along with Copic colouring.

I began by stamping in my mini Misti the pieces that I wanted to use for my card, being the flowers, leaves, one of the birds and the birdhouse. I began the colouring with the flowers, using R59, R29, R27, R35 and R43; then the Leaves using YG17, YG25, YG03; followed by the Bird using BG07, BG05, BG02, BG01, BG000 and finally the Birdhouse using E57, E37, YR27, E99.

When I finished the colouring I then die cut the pieces using the coordinating dies. For the card backgound I stenciled clouds using Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink. I then arranged and attached the flowers and leaves followed by the bird and birdhouse, using foam squares to attach, and in a few instances Nuvo adhesive.

Moving on to the inside of the card I again did the stencil clouds, followed by adding the branch and flower at the top of the page, with the sentiment done in the middle, stamped using both Memento Ink in Rhubarb Stalk and Tuxedo Black.

I hope you have enjoyed this card, and I thank you for visiting us today. Following are Affiliate links for the products that I used today, at no extra cost to you.

Love and Sunshine Tag

Hello everyone, Kia here today to bring you this tag I made for the Random Act of Cardness events, day 10, which does say floral! But, as sometimes happens, I had to change it up a bit. So my keyword should be Stars and Hearts I think.

I am using the Honey Bee Rainbow Dreams die set for this tag along with Worn Lipstick distress oxide ink.

There is a coordinating stamp set to this, which I am sure will be in the store soon. which has the stamps that match the set. I used the hearts from that set to stamp and give me the shape, then fussy cut.

I then added the clouds, a total of 8 with one being on each side of the 4 clouds. This gives added weight to the tag.

I sponged on the Worn Lipstick to the clouds and running up the rainbow on all sides. I placed the tag in my mini Misti and stamped the sentiments again using the worn lipstick ink, then added a few die cut stars from the set.

To finish up I made a hole with my paper piercer in the middle of the rainbow and added the pink satin ribbon.

It was fun to do this tag for a change today. Thank you for dropping by.

The Birdhouse

It is Day 27 of the Random Act of Cardness event, and for my card today I am doing a delightful Birdhouse Fold card. I saw this card while browsing YouTube awhile back and thought it so cute, and so me.

First I followed the instructions from the video which I had written down. Following is a drawing with the instructions for ease of reference.

I am not one to buy designer paper, instead I like to make my own using stencils, which I have done here using Paper Rose Big Bloom along with Candied Apple distress oxide, Crackling Campfire distress oxide and Twisted Citron distress oxide. I also sponged on the reds to the card base front.

When finished with the front panel I did the panel for the inside, using the dots from the stencil along with a few of the leaves in Twisted Citron. Also, I sponged on the Twisted Citron for the inside of the card base.

Following the instructions I did the folds and attached them in place. I then die cut the circle for the front of the card using 2 sizes of Spellbinder circle dies and sponged on the reds.

Next up was the bird. I stamped using Memento Ink and coloured using Copic markers as follows: Breast  YR01, YR21, YR02; Feathers E15, E29, YR09; Beak YR23, YR21.

Using a tiny hole punch I made the perch for the bird to sit on colouring a piece of cardstock with the browns. I attached foam squares to the bird and the perch before attaching it to the card front.

This was such a fun card to make, and I hope you will give it a try.

Thank you for joining me today, following are Affiliate links for the products I used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
