Tuesday with Tara {take 411} hello fall

Happy Tuesday and hello FALL!

I’ve been looking forward to making something with this autumn stamp set featuring Classic Eeyore, and today I’m sharing one that was quick & easy and reminds me of the basic black lined illustrations in the Classic Winnie the Pooh books, which I LOVE.  Eeyore has always been my favorite and I really love that even though he can be pretty moody and sad, clearly autumn leaves make him happy!

This card features simple black stamping with Versafine Clair Nocturne onto patterned paper from the 6×6 Classic Pooh paper pad– which has fun patterns and lovely neutrals like the ones you see featured on my card today!

I stamped leaves on the rust patterned paper and an extra on a scrap to add as an embellishment, tying it with some teal twine for a little burst of color.  The only other inking on this card is a bit of edging in Rusty Hinge Distress Ink .  It’s definitely a quick and simple card… and I love it!  Hope you do too!

Inky hugs,

Tara

Keeping It Clean and Simple

Happy Victoria Day to our Canadian readers! I’m here with some inspiration for today’s Random Acts of Cardness prompt: CAS. Clean and Simple is my go-to style, so I attempted to be “extra” CAS with today’s card:

This is my first time using an Anita Jeram stamp – this one is Back Card Bunny, but I chose to give him front-of-card status. (He has a matching die, as well.) Theoretically, this could be a one layer card, but since he’s coloured with Copics and there was a little bleed-through, I adhered my panel to a sand cardbase.

If you’re posting a CAS card on social media, be sure to tag it with #snschallenge – you’ll be in the running for a $50 gift certificate to the Scrap ‘n Stamp store!

Tuesday with Tara {take 338} Happy Heart

Happy Tuesday!  Today for our Random Acts of Cardness word in our FB group the word is HEART!  I had planned to share another card I made with a Tracey Hey stamp, but I wanted more focus on the heart (and had a new die/embossing folder I hadn’t made anything with yet)!  Visit me on instagram or my personal blog to see that other card in a few days 😉

Today I wanted to keep my card simple but sparkly… I combined an embossed die cut I did using the Lucky Love Embossing folder from Tim Holtz.  I cut from white & inked it up with Distress Spray Stain and Dina’s Gloss Spray, which was a fun combo to give a bit of texture to the smooth center of the heart.  I paired it with a glittery die cut from Honeybee Bitty Buzzwords.

It doesn’t get much simpler than this- layered die cuts over a Kraft panel with a sentiment sticker to tie it all together!  In addition to the glittery word, I added a bunch of bling to the heart to tie it all together.  I love the contrast against the Kraft panel.  I also love that this heart card has a sentiment that makes it suitable for all sorts of occasions- I’m thinking a celebratory congratulations card!

Hopefully my card finds your heart happy today!

Inky hugs,

Tara
