Just “Bee-cause” Card with MFT!

Happy Sunday and welcome back! Laurie here with you this morning to share a cute card made using stamps and dies from My Favorite Things!

I don’t know about you but January and February are usually slow buying months for me. I haven’t made many crafty purchases as I’m patiently waiting for the next Lawn Fawn release (preorder going on NOW!!!). So, until then, I’m going through my stash and using some of my favourite, older products from MFT.

One of my all time fave sets is the Rustic Wildflowers Stamps and co-ordinating dies. This is one of my go-to sets when I just want to do some stamping. It’s a simple, floral layering set that always inspires me. I stamped a bunch of the flowers and leaves with inks from the Gina K Designs 2018 Assortment, Spring and Summer Assortment of ink cubes. These have quickly become my most set used of inks!

I decided to add a couple of super cute bees from the Meant To Bee Stamp Set. I thought these sweet, little faces were the perfect addition to this card.  I lightly inked up a white card panel with some blue ink to layer on the card base. After playing around with the arrangement, I decided that all the elements were getting lost in the blue. This is where I decided to add the circle in the corner. To jazz it up a bit, I used my scoring board to add some simple lines to the circle.

It just so happened that the sentiment fit perfectly in between the scored lines!  I added the floral and bees with a combo of foam and liquid adhesive onto the partial circle. I foam mounted the circle to the blue, ink blended panel. Then finally, added the whole thing to a white, top fold, A2 cardbase. I added one black, simple, die cut heart with Nuvo Glaze over top.

And that finished the card! I love the spring feel this card which I’m definitely ready for!  Thank you so much for stopping by!
