NEW Tim Holtz Distress Inks have just arrived.

We were very excited when our shipment of new Tim Holtz Distress Inks arrived the other day. All eight new colors are fantastic and will work so well with the original colors in the collection.

Tim selects and helps develop all these inks so that they form a harmonious color palette that is perfect for creating a weathered, vintage look or for any traditional stamping application. I love using them because they are water-based so they adapt to lots of different techniques like photo tinting, color layering, watercoloring or distressing. The 2″ x 2″ raised felt pad is nice and high so it’s really easy to use for direct to paper applications. However you choose to use them, these are top quality inks that will give you wonderful results.

Here are the latest colors to arrive:

Barn Door, Bundled Sage, Chipped Sapphire, Crushed Olive, Rusty Hinge, Spun Sugar, Stormy Sky & Victorian Velvet.

We carry 23 colors of Tim Holtz Distress Inks at Scrap ‘n Stamp so you have lots of great colors to choose from. To see them all click here >>

If you aren’t familiar with Tim Holtz Distress Inks you may be wondering what makes them different.

  • To begin with these inks stay wet slightly longer which gives you a little more time to blend them on photos, paper and stamped images.
  • The color will wick (spread out) across wet paper which allows for more blending and can create multiple tones of the same color.
  • The colors are stable and fade-resistant. This is very important when you are using brown and black inks. When you add water to some of these inks they will leave a purple, blue or green hue around them. Tim Holtz Distress Inks do not separate or fade out.
  • You can use these inks on glossy surfaces to make new photos look old or create backgrounds that you stamp on.
  • The color palette is coordinated so that they can be easily blended and will work together and compliment each other.

Lots of creative possibilities with these terrific inks!
