Embossed Circles

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope you all find some time to create this weekend… I always feels kinda guilty inside in my craft room when the sun is shining and the weather is so beautiful outside. I need to work on finding a good inside/outside balance LOL!

This card was fun to put together. I pulled out some stitched circles and put them together in different pairings to create some different circles. I used my Big Shot and an embossing mat to create the embossed stitched circle background.

You can see in the photo above how I did the circles. I used a wide piece of Post-It Tape and put the dies down on it so that the non-cutting side of the die is stuck to the tape. I was then able to use the Post-It tape to secure the dies where I wanted them on the cardstock panel.

I put this die embossed panel on to a piece of blue cardstock allowing for a 1/16″ border on all sides and then placed it all on to a white card base.

To create the sentiment, I first stamped the Lawn Fawn word “birthday” on to the front of the card in green ink. I then created a partial rainbow background using ink and the Picket Fence Life Changing Blender Brushes on white cardstock. I then used the Lawn Fawn die to cut it out and added some black “stitch” lines with a black marker. I adhered the die cut word with the Quickie glue pen.

I love trying to be creative when making clean and simple cards… sometimes it’s difficult to add a little “something extra” with a technique or products without taking it over the top.
