Lots of Dots

Hello everyone… Nancy here with a super clean and simple card for you… My apologies there aren’t any process photos with this post, however the card is so simple I think you can figure it out on your own! My style is very much clean and simple and I hope I am encouraging some of you to try some cards with a lot of white space (or at least more white space than you are used to!).

I know I was scared of the white space for a very long time… and sometimes I still think I need to add more to my cards…. but I force myself to step away from the card and embrace the white space!

For this card, I started with my stamp positioning tool and the sentiments from My Favorite Things All Smiles stamp set. I used VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturn. I used the stamp positioning tool because I really want that “smile” to POP with black…. and amazingly enough, I didn’t even need the positioning tool to make it happen. I seriously think this is my new most favourite ink for deep dark images.

I then grabbed the MFT Color Drops stamp set and used the three different sizes of circles to create a flow of circle drops in four different colours of ink (teal, two shades of green and yellow).

This card is one layer, meaning the only piece of cardstock or paper that was used was the top fold white card. I didn’t add any embellishments or dies or layers… and that was truly the hardest part of the card for me!

I encourage you to try to find your inner Clean and Simple style… and share it on the Scrap’n Stamp Facebook page! I’d love to see what you come up with!
