We’ve all been there – you need a card quickly, but don’t have much time! Hello friend – Deb here from the Design team, and today I’m sharing a quick & easy thank you card that you can pull together in a jiffy. Another way of using this card is to create it in advance, but just leave off the sentiment. Then, it’s ready for when you need it – just add the sentiment appropriate to the situation at hand!
COZY COMPANIONS THANK YOU
Who doesn’t love a bear in a cozy chair, with a mug of hot chocolate?! This cutie is ready say ‘thank you’, or even just thinking of you.
Wouldn’t you just love to join him in a cup of cocoa? I would!
CARD DETAILS
On a small piece of white cardstock, stamp the bear image from the MFT Cozy Companions set in Memento Tuxedo black ink. Colour in the image using Copic markers. For the chair, I chose greens G09 & G03; B00 & B02 for the sweater; E29 & E37 browns for the bear and Y28 (which is a Lionet Gold) for the stool & chair legs. Next, use the coordinating Cozy Companions dies to die cut the bear.
For the background, use the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies and cut a smaller light blue panel, and a larger white panel. Use a blending tool to add some Salty Ocean Distress ink around the edges of each panel. Use the Memento ink to stamp the sentiment from the Penny Black Sentiment Collection in the upper right corner. Now, layer the pieces together. Glue the white panel onto a light blue card base, then attach the blue panel & the die cut bear with foam tape.
I think that the die cutting, along with the stitched layers adds just the right amount of interest & depth for this card. And no one needs to know how easy it was to pull together! I think that the part that took me the longest was deciding on colours.
