Birthday Wishing Mice and a Cute Rabbit

Hi Everyone! Susan here with day 29 of the Random Acts of Cardness Challenges. My challenge this time is Mice. I love the Birthday Wishing stamp set from Colorado Craft Company – those critters are so cute and knew I would be using it for this challenge. I paired it with the Playful Happy Birthday Die from Poppystamps and the It’s a Mice Time To Celebrate Stamp Set from MFT.

I started out with the idea of using the Happy Birthday die on a slim line card. First I blended some distress oxide inks onto a piece of white cardstock in a rainbow order. After I die cut it I thought I could use the leftover piece on a card and decided to make two A2 size cards instead of one slimline card.

My first card doesn’t have a mouse on it – oops. I forgot to leave room to stamp a little mouse looking up at the rabbit.

I decided to use the happy on this card paired with the white embossed birthday on black card stock. The birthday is part of a sentiment from the It’s a Mice Time To Celebrate Stamp Set. I stamped the rabbit onto the piece of cardstock that I did the ink blending on (first cutting off the portion that I die cut the happy birthday from) then fit it to the right side of my card base. I added a thin strip of black card stock then added the sentiments to call this card done.

My second card definitely has mice. I started by adhering the birthday word die to the panel, stamping the little happy above it then stamped the mice.

The balloons are the same one you see in the first card. I just stamped the balloon portion 3x then drew on the strings with a fine tip black marker. I used a blender pen and the same distress oxide inks I used on the first card to color in the balloons & the present. I used Prismacolor pencils for the mice.

Both these cards put a smile on my face. They are bright, fun and still very clean and simple.

Time for you to join the fun!

If you want to play along with the Random Acts of Cardness challenges please share your projects (it doesn’t have to be a card) on the Scrap’n Stamp Facebook Challenge Page using the hashtag #SNSCHALLENGE. Be sure to say which day your project is for. There’s a different challenge every day of the month and you can enter as many times as you like. Someone (randomly chosen) will win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Scrap’n Stamp shop.

 Happy Stampin’
