My Favorite Things Galore!

They’re not called ‘My Favorite Things’ for nothing, I guess! This whole card is My Favorite Things galore – the stamp set, the dies and stencils! If they had ink pads, I’d probably have used them, too. Hi – it’s Deb here from the Design Team, to share a new project with you today. I’ve had this Jumping Giraffe stamp set for a while, but this is the first time I’ve  used it. Get ready for some serious cute!

JUMPING GIRAFFE

I had fun with the layout I used for a card earlier this week – you can see it HERE – so I used it again. By changing up the background and colours, I achieved a new, fun look.

My Favorite Things Galore!

I told you it was cute! Adding the stenciled confetti background really amps up the fun factor of this card.

CARD DETAILS

On a white cardstock panel, lay the first of the MFT Confetti Stencil on top. I hold it in place with Purple Tape; it’s the quickest & easiest to do. Apply Gina K. Peach Bellini ink with a blending tool. Now, remove this stencil, and lay the 2nd confetti stencil on top of the same panel. You can see that the confetti dots are offset from each other. Now, apply Broken China Distress Oxide ink through the stencil. Remove this stencil, and wipe both clean with a damp cloth or paper towel. I love how easy the clean up is!

On a separate piece of white cardstock, stamp the Jumping Giraffe image with Nocturne ink. Cover with clear embossing powder, and heat set. Colour the giraffe with your choice of alcohol markers or pencils. Next, use the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangles dies and die cut the image. Add Broken China ink around the edges using a blending tool.  Finally, stamp the sentiment, also from the Jumping Giraffe stamp set, in Nocturne ink, and heat set with clear embossing powder.  Add a few more of the coloured confetti dots near the edges of the sentiment strip, for more fun.

PULL IT ALL TOGETHER

Now you’re ready to layer it all together with glue, fun foam or foam tape.

My Favorite Things Galore!

Did you catch the play on words in the sentiment? I don’t know about you, but a giraffe on a Pogo stick is one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen!

I hope you’ve been inspired to have fun and get creative – even if your next card isn’t My Favorite Things Galore, like this one! Mixing and matching brands is fun to do; this one just happened to work out to be some of ‘my favorite things’, all on one card.  Shopping for these products is easy; I’ve included links below, for your convenience. Thanks for spending some time with me today – have a ‘hoppy’ day!
