Tuesday with Tara {take 100} & you can win!

Happy Tuesday!  Today marks 100 Tuesday with Tara blog posts here on the Scrap n’ Stamp blog!  We thought it would be fun to celebrate this milestone sharing 10 favorites from the past 99 posts… and a chance for YOU to join the fun and win $100 gift certificate to spend in the online store!  Woohoo!  (Thanks Raya!)  So, if you want a chance to win, please leave a comment on this blog post telling me your fave “take” or if any of these past 99 posts have inspired you to create!

Now… in random order, here’s a creative top 10 list of sorts:

1. {take 7}

2. {take 35}

3. {take 66}

4. {take 20}

5. {take 68}

6. {take 15}

Thanks for sticking around!  Hope you saw something that made you smile… and I hope you’ll take advantage of a chance to win a $100 gift certificate by leaving a comment!  I look forward to hearing from you!

Inky hugs,

Happy Tuesday!

Today I’ve got a tag to share with you- hope it adds some happy to your day!  Links to products I used are at the bottom of this post 🙂

I wiped some white gesso on the tag as a base, stamped the cone flower in black archival ink and colored it with Distress Crayons and a water brush.  I added some washi tape and texture paste over that, adding some scratchy details with texture brushes.  The blossoms were stenciled with a combination of two fabulous Distress Ink colors (the same colors were used to dye my crinkle ribbon!).

I stenciled these moths/bees with texture paste then inked over them with Vintage Photo Distress Ink once they were dry.

Happy Tuesday!

Here’s hoping the week to come is full of beautiful things… like this adorable die set by My Favorite Things.  I cut the “beautiful” word from a heavyweight glossy cardstock, which gave the mottled look you see here as I spritzed some metallic paint on it, as well as splattering it on my card base. (You can get a similar look by mixing Liquid Pearls with a bit of water in a Mini Mister.)

I chose a solid floral stamp from my stash (one from this set or this set would work great!) and spritzed it with water before coloring directly on the rubber with distress crayons.  I also added a bit of shimmer with the paint I’d used on the word & card background. My image was a bit damp, which added to the abstract look. Once it was dry (with the help of a heat tool) I added some bling to finish it off.

I’ll be sending this card to one of my single girlfriends for Valentines Day… because every woman deserves a reminder that she is beautiful!

Inky hugs,

Tara
