Hello Friends!
It’s Susan here today sharing a card for Random Acts of Cardness. The prompt for today is Ice Cream. One of my favorite treats to have as a kid – and still is – are ice cream sandwiches. LOVE them! So when I saw the Whittle Ice Cream Sandwich Die from Poppystamps I knew right away I had to have it.
The die has the detailed piece you see on the top of the sandwich and a plain piece for the bottom and for the middle. I used the plain piece to cut some white craft foam for the ice cream to put between the chocolate layers. I cut the Poppystamps Playful Hugs Die 5x from card stock and layered them on top of each other – I used a scrap piece of blue card stock from my stash for the top layer but added some Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky Distress Inks for a little bit of variation. I used the same inks to do a little ink blending behind the sandwiches. I used the Poppystamps Word Balloons Dies to write on my sentiments. I adhered everything to a card stock panel that I cut with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Dies – I used the 2nd largest one – and I used craft foam for more dimension.
The Poppystamps Whittles line of products are sooooo cute. I’m having a blast playing with them. AND they are not expensive so you don’t have to feel guilty about buying a lot of them – I know I didn’t feel guilty.
Have you hopped along with us yet this month?
The theme was Whittles and I’m sharing 4 cards HERE if you’d like to hop along. If you do be sure to leave a comment on my blog for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to the SNS store.
