Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Hello everyone, Kia here today. It is not long now before Santa starts his journey!

I used the adorable set from Mama Elephant called Santa’s Sleigh for this card, doing some water colouring using a mix of watercolours consisting of Gansai, Color Burst and Distress Inks, and I also used silver pen on the sleigh rails. Rudolph also has a red shiney nose thanks to some Wink of Stella I added.

For the moon I first painted it in yellow, then went over it with a watered down acrylic paint to get the glow look.

I stamped my sentiment in red and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Once I was finished with the background I went over it with the Micro Glaze and buffed it for a shine, which is hard to see in the picture. I attached the sentiment with glue, and attached the dogs and sleigh using foam squares. My friend wants to give this card to her hubby, and it fits perfectly as they have 3 dogs. The little dogs shown in the picture I will use on the inside.

Thank you for joining me today. I will see you next time … and that will be in 2019!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

You’re Stinkin’ Cute!

I just adore the mini Stamp sets from Lawn Fawn, especially this little cutie, Stinkin Cute set and Coordinating Die.

These little sets are so versatile and great additions to any stamp collection at the lower price points. :o)

Here’s my lil’ card that I made usin the Stinkin Cute stamp and Die sets along with some pencil crayons and gamsol.

I stamped the image with Jet Black Archival Ink onto Bristol Smooth paper, and colored the image with Derwent Pencil Crayons, but the Chamelon Pencil Crayons, work just as great. I blended the 2-3 color shades with Gamsol and blending stump.

I then used the Coordinating die to cut out the image and flower. For my card base, I used Charcoal Recollections Cardstock and some Design Paper in Grey and Mint Green from CraftSmith. I used two Small Circle Dies and offset them off my card front and stamped the sentiment onto mint Cardstock and die cut with MFT- Fishtail Flag Frame dies and just cut the one end off to create banners.

I finished off the inside off my card with a few more offset circles and a sentiment from Recollections.

There we have it, a CAS card that has a lot of CUTE FACTOR!! lol!

Happy Craftin’!

~Hugs~

Funky Foliage Treat Box

Ok, how adorable are these dies from the Tim Holtz Funky Foliage Die set??? I mean those mushrooms and acorns are just too cute for words even!!

I started with a Trinket Treat Box I made using Eileen Hull’s Trinket Box Die and designer papers from Recollections. I then die cut the Funky Foilage from Bazzil Cardstock in several fall colors that had Stick It Adhesive Sheets added on the back. The Stick It is great if you apply it to the back of your cardstock before running it thru your die cutting machine…this makes putting the foilage pieces together so much easier as there’s now adhesive on the back of all your die pieces. :o)

I used Vintage Photo Distress Oxide to ink the edges of the Foliage and treat box.

And what’s a treat box without some treats??? hehehehe

I sure hope you enjoyed my little funky foliage treat box today.

Happy Craftin’!

~hugs~
