Inspiration can hit at any time. I was inspired by an ad I saw for this card.

Alcohol Ink Flowers

Hi peeps! Dawn here from the little mennonite blog. Keeping with our flower theme this month I created a flower panel with alcohol ink.

Directions:

On a panel of yupo paper drop a small drop of Flamingo alcohol ink and let dry. Next add a drop of Sunshine Yellow alcohol ink and let it dry completely too. Wet a small paintbrush with 99% rubbing alcohol and wet a very small spot of dried ink. Blow (with a straw) the now wet ink out from the center. Repeat this until you get a full flower. The repeat to create multiple flowers. Add black pen to create an outline. Let dry.

Asian Lawn Fawn Card

Hi Peeps! Dawn here from the little mennonite blog with a new alcohol ink technique for you!

Directions:

Die cut a stitched rectangle out of Yupo Paper. Add an alcohol ink rainbow and let dry. Dry emboss with an Darice Embossing Folder. Sand raised areas for added dimension and interest. Adhere to an A2 card front.

Stamp out Lawn Fawn images. Colour Lawn Fawn unicorn from the Say What? Christmas Critters stamp set with an alcohol based marker. Stamp pink bubble heart with Hero Arts Bubblegum Pink Ink.

Die cut stars and hearts from Lawn Fawn’s Say What Gift Tags also die cut a Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banner and stamp the word “smile” on the banner end from Lawn Fawn’s Year Three stamp set.

Assemble card as shown popping up the sentiment and critters with foam tape.

Please note that this alcohol ink panel was a complete failure until I embossed and sanded it… keep those “failures” they may be anything but.
