Simple Lawn Fawn Card with Crayola Markers

Dawn here from the little mennonite blog with a super easy/cheaper card for you today.  This card is made by using Crayola markers as watercolour markers!

Directions:

Take a panel of watercolour paper and draw on it with Crayola markers.  Add water with a paintbrush (I used an old acrylic paint brush) to blend.  Let dry.

Stamp berries, leaves and butterflies with Lawn Fawn’s Flutter By stamp set.  Fill in set areas with black pen.

Adhere watercolour panel to card front with dry adhesive.  Add sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Flutter By stamp set to Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banner by heat setting with white embossing powder.  Add Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banner to card front with foam adhesive and cut off extra Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banner extending over the side of the card.

You can also use Distress Markers for this technique.  Distress Markers must be stored on their sides (it doesn’t matter how you store Crayolas).  The advantage with Distress is that their colours are more sophisticated.  (Although I like the black Crayola better myself!)  You can also colour with Crayolas right onto the Ranger Craft mat or an old plate, add water, and wohoo you have watercolour!

Sweet Friends Lawn Fawn Card

Dawn here from the little mennonite blog with a Sweet Friends Lawn card for you today.

Directions:

Using the Picket Fence Life Changing Blending Brushes add Distress ink in various shades of pink to the background of an A2 card front.  Splatter over water and water coloured with each of the colours of distress ink.  Next splatter over Perfect Pearls mixed with clear water.  Let dry.

Stamp out the frozen yogurt from the Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends stamp set with Memento Tux Black (so the colour won’t run) and colour with alcohol based markers.  Die cut Lawn Fawn Cheers die on pink sparkle craft foam.  Heat emboss sentiment from Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends stamp set on black cardstock.  Assemble card as shown.

Easter Lawn Fawn Tiny Gift Boxes for Tablescape

Dawn here from the little mennonite blog.  I like to be prepared (like a boy scout!) so I have made six Tiny Gift Boxes from Lawn Fawn’s Tiny Gift Box die for Easter with Lawn Fawn’s Spiffy Speckles 6×6 paper pack.  I plan to put each gift box on each person’s plate.

I really like that Lawn Fawn has designed their box die to fit onto a 6×6 piece of paper – which works perfectly in my Cuttlebug.  The die set comes with 7 additional dies for decoration – including dies for a bow two ways.

The Lawn Fawn’s Spiffy Speckles 6×6 paper pack has three sheets of every design/colour so there was plenty left over after I finished my boxes.

For added directions in box assembly go to my blog here.
