Simple Lawn Fawn Card with Crayola Markers

Dawn here from the little mennonite blog with a super easy/cheaper card for you today.  This card is made by using Crayola markers as watercolour markers!

Directions:

Take a panel of watercolour paper and draw on it with Crayola markers.  Add water with a paintbrush (I used an old acrylic paint brush) to blend.  Let dry.

Stamp berries, leaves and butterflies with Lawn Fawn’s Flutter By stamp set.  Fill in set areas with black pen.

Adhere watercolour panel to card front with dry adhesive.  Add sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Flutter By stamp set to Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banner by heat setting with white embossing powder.  Add Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banner to card front with foam adhesive and cut off extra Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banner extending over the side of the card.

You can also use Distress Markers for this technique.  Distress Markers must be stored on their sides (it doesn’t matter how you store Crayolas).  The advantage with Distress is that their colours are more sophisticated.  (Although I like the black Crayola better myself!)  You can also colour with Crayolas right onto the Ranger Craft mat or an old plate, add water, and wohoo you have watercolour!

Tuesday with Tara (take 82)

Happy Tuesday!  Hope you`ve had a great week and are enjoying seeing all the exciting new releases at the Creativation (formerly CHA) trade show!  I know my wish list is growing every time I look at what all the artists are sharing… so many fab new products and designs!

Magenta2013

Today I`ve got a fun, simple card.  The technique is super basic… black stamping of a fabulous image (another from Magenta!) on eye catching patterned paper.  That`s it- but with the right stamp, it`s all you need to put together a great, quick card.  Cute embellishments don`t hurt either.

I`ve got a few projects in the works that I`m looking forward to sharing with you!  Hope you have a creative week!

Inky hugs,

Tara
