Crafty Friends

Happy Monday,
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend filled with some crafty fun.

For my first post of the new year I created two fun folded cards that showcased perfectly the Crafty friends turn about set from Concord and 9th

I started off by prepping the stamp and creating the jig for the turn about stamp- whole else as issue lining the stamp up on the package and fighting with the ruler as it sticks to the clear stamp, I don’t know about you but this drives me nut, so excited to hear they are creating tool kids for these turnabout stamps.

Once I had that all prepped, I went in and started stamping using my favourite colours of distress oxides, peacock feather, festive berry, cracked pistachio and wilted violet. I created a few panels while I was at it as I had two different card ideas in mind which you can see from the top picture.

For one of my cards I wanted to try something new (to me) A Z-fold card. I had never made one before, can you believe that!

All the instructions for the Z fold card and be found on my blog http://www.nancygracecreations.com/blog

The second card I created using all the same products with one addition the Sizzix flip-it die.  It allowed me to show cause the turn about stamp beautifully and make the little girl still centre stage.  For more of the process portion of these cards please head over to my blog.

Hope you were inspired and have a wonderful crafty filled week a head.

Merry Magnolia Wreath Card Set

Good Evening and Happy Sunday Everyone

Merry Christmas Eve eve (lol)

Well I am here on the blog for Scrap’n Stamp for my final share of the year.  WOW how crazy is that.. Where did the year go.

I am sharing with you a set of Christmas Cards I created using the Concord and 9th Magnolia wreath set.

I hope you enjoy and find some inspiration, if you’re still needing to finish up those Christmas Cards.

(I am still not finished and totally behind with mailing them out too.  Eek!  So bad… This month has just gotten the best of me.

I used distress oxides to stamp out the magnolia wreath.  I used pine needles and mowed lawn.

I attempted to get a faux water colour look for it by spritzing the inked up stamp with water.

More details and close ups on my blog.

For the background layer I used two different embossing folders.  One from We R Memory Keepers and the other from my stash that’s retired.  I covered the panels with cosmic shimmer enchanted gold gilding polish.

I used the Concord and 9th Merry die for the sentiment and a My Favourite Things sentiment strips.

Finished off with a few gems and some Nuvo Aqua shimmer on the Merry die.

I will have a full description of the cards and process on my blog.

Mixed Media Christmas Tags

Hello and Happy Saturday,

I am back on the blog today with two mixed media Christmas Tags.

I had a lot of fun just getting inky and seeing where it all took me.

I started with Tim Holtz Manila tags, white gesso and the Stampers Anoymous  Music and Advert stamps set

I had never used gesso up until recently and wow its a game changer.  I inked up the  the music stamps  with the gesso and pressed it on to the tags, set it  aside to dry for a few minutes and went back in and inked with distress oxides.

I used candied apple, barn door and festive berries for the background of one tag, and mowed lawn, pine needles and lucky clover for the second tag.  I absolutely love how they turned out.

I went back in with walnut stain and stamped the another background stamp, and then added glitter paste to the tags (Further details on my blog  Nancy Grace Creations).

I stamped out the Santa from the Classic Christmas set,  on to some Kraft cardstock and cut him out.

I added some detail with my Prisma colour pencils.  For the wreath I used the lawn fawn large wreath die, and cut out numerous  branches from gold, silver and green cardstock.

You can find the full details on my blog, Nancy Grace Creations with a lot more pictures as well.

Scrap’n Stamp Canada also has 25% off Ranger products, so if you feel inspired by my tags you can stock up on some supplies  🙂
